365 Days: This Day brought Laura and Massimo back into our lives, before delivering a shocking finale that left Laura's life in the balance.

The middle part of Netflix's popular 365 Days trilogy continued our lead duo's torrid love story, introducing Massimo's ex and his estranged twin brother into the mix to tướng make things even more complicated.

Fans didn't have to tướng wait too long for The Next 365 Days to tướng wrap up their love story (for now), sánh if you're only just catching up on the series, you can leap straight into the final part to tướng find out what happens.

But if you're watching the trilogy as it was planned, with a gap between the second and third movies, let's dive in the brutal cliffhanger of 365 Days: This Day.

Major spoilers are ahead.

Before she gets married to tướng Massimo at the start of the movie, Laura reveals to tướng her BFF Olga that she hasn't told him that she was pregnant. It's revealed that although she survived the accident, she unfortunately lost her baby as a result.

They get married, but it doesn't take long for cracks to tướng show as Massimo reverts to tướng his old ways and Laura refuses to tướng go along with all of his demands. It doesn't help matters that Olga gets together with Domenico, Massimo's new right-hand man who took over from Mario when he retired, blaming himself for Laura's accident.

Olga and Domenico get engaged at Christmas and seem happy together, further highlighting the chasm between Laura and Massimo. Things reach a head when at a tiệc ngọt, Laura spies Massimo leaving with former lover Anna and catches them having sexytimes.

She runs into Massimo's gardener Nacho outside the tiệc ngọt and he takes her away to tướng his father's house in Spain. While the two of them get close in Spain, Massimo is back in Italy meeting up with Anna, who wants to tướng unite their families. He refuses and accuses her of being behind Laura's sudden departure.

That's weird, you might think, since Anna and Massimo were bonking. But it turns out they weren't as Laura actually saw Anna getting down with Massimo's twin brother Adriano, who Laura has no idea about as Massimo refuses to tướng talk about his estranged brother!

(You know he's the evil twin as he has a tuft of hair rather kêu ca Massimo's slicked-back look, and he also clicks his tongue before every line of dialogue.)

365 Days 2 ending explained: Is Laura dead?

The plan was for Anna and Adriano to tướng pick up Laura after the tiệc ngọt, but she ended up going away with Nacho. It doesn't mean that's a good thing for Laura though, as Nacho reveals he's the son of Don Fernando Matos, the "head of the local Mafia and eternal rival of your husband's family".

Nacho doesn't want to tướng be lượt thích his father and tries to tướng persuade Laura that his feelings for her are real. She's had enough (understandable given her recent relationships), but is still forced to tướng go to tướng a meeting with Nacho's father where Massimo will also be in attendance.

Don Matos wants to tướng use Laura to tướng persuade Massimo to tướng give up control of the family to tướng his twin brother. Massimo wasn't paying attention to tướng their warnings, such as Laura's accident, and Adriano would be "more controllable" for Don Matos. However, Massimo refuses as Adriano was responsible for their father's death.

Unfortunately for Massimo, Laura ended up being taken by the wrong bodyguard when she arrived at the meeting. Massimo and Nacho head off to tướng find her, and see Laura being confronted by Adriano and Anna.

A Mexican standoff ensues with Adriano holding Laura hostage, as well as taunting his brother about Laura's miscarriage. Before Massimo can khuyến mãi with that revelation though, Laura tries to tướng break không tính phí and is shot by Anna, who is shot by Nacho in turn. Massimo then shoots Adriano before he can shoot him.

It's all very dramatic and it's unclear who is actually dead as Massimo cradles Laura in the final shot. Anna is probably dead and maybe Adriano too, but Laura surely isn't as a third movie was confirmed at the same time as the sequel.

While the movie deviated a bit from the second book (especially with the character of Nacho), it ended in the same way with Laura shot. However, a big difference was that she was still pregnant with Massimo's baby.

At the start of the third book, Massimo is faced with the decision of saving Laura or their unborn child. He chooses Laura, but doesn't tell her exactly why she miscarried and, fortunately, the third movie can't replicate this icky plot thread.

So expect Laura to tướng be alive in the third movie and Massimo to tướng have saved her, potentially. Or maybe the threequel will just be two hours of Massimo having grief sex, backed by constant sad songs on the soundtrack.
